What to look for in enterprise profitability software in St. Louis, Missouri

Your ERP shows revenue and cost of goods. It does not show logistics, discounts, support cost or allocated overhead — which is where the margin actually goes. PlaidCloud adds the missing profitability layer on top of your own lakehouse and gives you segmented net margin you can act on, with AI margin analysis that returns attributed root cause when a number moves. This site focuses on what happens after the cost model exists: turning it into segmented net margin the business will act on. That means dimensionality (customer, product, channel, region and combinations), refresh cadence that keeps pace with close, and attributed root cause when a number moves rather than a chart showing that it did.

If the goal is a margin number the commercial team will actually act on: evaluate whether the model reaches true net margin or stops at gross, how many dimensions it supports at once, and whether you get root-cause analysis or just the fact that margin changed.

What to evaluate

• Whether the model reaches true net margin or stops at gross margin
• Dimensionality: customer, product, channel, region, and combinations
• Refresh cadence — monthly close vs. on-demand analysis
• Root-cause analysis when margin moves, not just the fact that it moved
• How results are shared: dashboards, apps, or exports back to finance
